Default new numbers for my vette! d1sc 402 696rwhp!

well i took it to my tuner and was goin to just get the tune check and ran into a **** ton of probs! on the first run by the time he hit 4k the afr was at 14.XX so he let out and tried to do some adjustments! thats where the first problem started. the shop who tuned the car before (about 4 hours away) had the comp locked. my tuner downloaded it (coulnt get in tho) and sent it to hptuners. meanwhile i got it reflashed stock and took it back down there. then ended up having to get a new maf, o2's, and had to clean up some wiring the prev owner had done. so finally everything was reading right!

and remember this is with the 4.63 pulley, which is SUPPOSE to produce 4.5 psi! and for some reason the tq wasnt reading!
1st run 655!
2nd run 673!
he had a few more runs in there
FINNAL RUN 696!
this was with 20 degrees of timing, and afr in the 11.2's till bout 5k where it dipped down to 10.8!

tsp LS2 402 28cc Boost Pistons, LS6 Intake Manifold, Kooks 1 7/8" Longtubes A&A Corvette Performance Camshaft 230/240 591/608 115lsa, AFR 205 59cc Heads, A&A D1SC Kit!

but i have a pretty bad idle surge, what could be causing that?

Nice numbers, the surge could be due to many things. Did they spend a lot of time on part throttle drive ability tuning.

Depending on the gasket thickness it is probably between 9.5 - 9.8 to 1 compression.

And this was on only ~5 psi? Those are great numbers.

How much boost did it show?? That is a lot of power for spinning the blower so slow, but congrats either way.

Nice numbers Terry They make me proud Not bad for 4lbs and 91 octane. The shop that tuned it for me didn't lock it. It was locked when I brought it to them. They found a way around it though, obviously I am glad you are enjoying the car. I wish I could have kept it. I got orders to Germany a month after I sold it to you :-/

A pretty bad idle surge is usually from either a vacuum leak or an incomplete tune. The part throttle tuning and overall driveability takes the longest to nail down. Bob
