What brand would be best? Would just the regular jegs brand be fine? Or is there a difference? I was also looking at the summit brand? If im gonna have it welded in am i still gonna use the 3inch?

Are you gonna use a manual one or are you think electronic? Because if your just going with a manual one brands don't mean a thing, but if your goin to use a an E-cutout QTP makes a decent one and I wouldn't go cheap with those. And as these guys ^^ said 3" and it'll have to be welded.

Thanks for the help. Does anybody know how much different the sound is depending on where the cut out is installed?

I have mine in the I-pipe just under the rear seat. It's loud, but not too bad inside of the car. And yes, as was said before, the closer to the manifolds the louder and much more cabin noise. Here is a picture of what it looks like (not my car but in the same spot).
