Default Quick LT1 Nitrous question

on a 1LE elbow, where is the best place to put a single wet nozzle? right after the MAF or where the donkey dong used to be?

If you aren't doing the spray plate I think that is where everyone puts it.

i figured putting it where the silencer used to be would cause distribution problems when only using 1 nozzle. but i guess not?

I ran mine for a long time mounted inside the "donkey dong"....I re used the plastic tube even though I had a 1LE elbow...it hid the nozzle very well. The solenoids were mounted behind the PCM.

sorry to hijack the thread, but what do you think about putting the single wet nozzle just before the TB. Here's a pic of what I am thinking about. the reason for the close proximity is because I am trying my best to keep it out of sight.

Not a good idea from the little I know about nitrous.

well, as far as concealment, It would be good for me, but I was worried about the mixture. Being that close I would not think it would be distributed very well

I would not put it there as there isn't enough room to fully atomize the fuel before the mixture is inside the intake plenum. This can adversely affect distribution.

well, I guess it's back to the drawing board for a good place to hide the nozzle. I can't use the donkey dong cause i don't have one, I did a LS1 airlid conversion. I want to use a WS but this leaves very little room for it

definately would not put that nozzle that close to the TB,you are suppsed to have the nozzle roughly 6" away from the TB to allow proper atomization.
i realize you are goin for the stealth approach but that is not gonna cut it.
a great spot for the nozzle(concealed) is to place the nozzle on the TB side of the maf housing(bottom) you will drill and tap the housing where the boot connects and cut a U shape in the clamp this way is almost invisable. as for the selonoids they can be mounted beside the radiator Driverside.

I like that idea 96lt1m6, I think i'm gonna have to look into that. having the airlid, i had to get rid of the stock radiator support, i may have to look into making this into the custom support I plan on making.

It definately fooled a few untrained eyes since the usually focus on the engine itself! I also played sneaky since the selonoids and the nozzle could be removed and installed within 5 minutes LOL we would be at The Spot with the hood open so all can see get a race and on the way to the Race Spot stop into the gas station pump some gas at one end and add some gas at the other!

I attached a pic of how mine was setup, not much of a stealthy setup though. Seemed to work good, but Im sure there are plenty of better ways to do it.

Any more pics of the air intake? How hard was it to do? That's something on my list, once I pick up a hood to help with the clearance. Thanks.

Attached a pic that shows a little more, I used a stock LS1 box and bought a lid. It all had to be chopped and ground on quite a bit to make it fit and work...even with a 2.5in cowl hood. I didnt want to cut up my crossmember, which alot guys do, so it was a bit of a PITA to fit without the cut. I put an FTRA (which I just sold) underneath the box. Seemed to work good, I dont have any numbers though.

Im changing it up and will run a piece of stainless tubing through the stock radiator cover....like a turbo setup. Then Im going to stick a cone style K&N (if someone has one for sale let me know!!) on the end of it in front of the radiator.
