Default Switch:Torquer v2 to Vindicator

Im holding off on my motor build until the summer so i figured id switch my cam out to squeeze evey bit of HP out of my motor.Im running a Torquer v2 232/234 595"/.598" on a 113lsa right now and with the trickflow heads she put down 430whp unlocked through a stock maf and a PT4000.Now im thinking about pulling the stick out and upgrading to a Vindicator 240/244 .605/.596 on a 112 LSA being that it works so well with these heads, the same time i plan on adding a pulley and cutout. Now,will it be worth it to change cams,i know there is a good difference between the two and adding the pulley and cutout at the same time should help...What do you guys think, she pulls good now but i want more...

Thanks in advance

I would just spray it but my PT4000 isnt good with nitrous and i dont feel like swapping out converters again.I would definitly look into the MS4 but i havent seen any results with the ms4 and TFS heads, but i definitl want a BIGGER cam

i think you might miss the low end from the V2, especially if youre gonna add a cutout

if you are building a motor hold off. no point in all that work for a few months. plus then having to have it retuned. also are your heads milled? because if they are that cam may not fit without flycutting so then u will need to pull the heads also.

just a lot of money and effort for a motor u will be pulling soon. if u werent going to id say go for it and hope for the best being an auto and all. its less work to swap converters then a cam.....maybe do that and spray the bitch. its always nice to have the spray anyways-even on the new motor

But i am going to be getting some tfs 215 milled to 59cc and fly cutting to get some tq out of my setup. i hope to get some 10sec time slips out of it cam only. my mph is there but my 60 sucks. oh and i am a m6 (look in sig)

I'm running a torqer 2 as well, but no matter how much I think about it, I can't justify the work required, $ to buy new cam (I constantly am debating getting a Pat G custom grind to better match my heads) and tune ($700) for only 10-15hp, maybe more. I'd rather add a new suspension piece that will make up for that lack of hp in my 60ft times. But that's just me, I do agree w/ you that the temptation is out there more than anything.

Why cant you spray a 4000 stalll? I have seen many 4000 stalls sprayed and loved it.

If it bothers you to spray that stall, just jet down to a 50 shot, its still more then the cam is going to give you and you will already have the kit for the new motor.
