Default Mid 11's just bolt-ons

Track is closed now but next year I would love to do this. If I get a stall and some tires do you think it is possible?

Dyno numbers in sig. It went 111 MPH with the TCS on so it had more. I also just put TA, relcations, PHB, TA relocation member and Bilsteins.

I have ported TB, LT's, underdrive, free mods, lid, custom 4" Y and no cats. Any other bolt-ons I can do other than heads/cam to possibly get there? Where would the list be of those who have done this so I can see mods? I think the Dynojet numbers would have been higher so the power seems like it MAY be enough to get the job done

Alll depends on your 60'

when i was trapping 111 i ran a 12.2 @ 111 with a 1.74 60'

i did a little weight redution and shift point adj and ran a 11.89 @ 114 1.69 60' 2800 bolt-on car

You should have no problem getting in the 11s. What gears do you have, stock? You don't need big numbers to run a good time, its all in the 60ft. My race wieght was 3480lb with my best et so far.

The best I ever run bolt-ons only was a 12.23 @ 111 with a 1.72 60ft. My race weight was around 3,650lbs and the car still has the stock 3.23 gears.

I think you will probably see some high 11s but mid 11s will take a serious 60ft. and a lot of weight reduction.

Jetlag got his 02 run high 11s w/ just bolt ons so it's doable high 11s w/o weight reduction.

Stock 3.23 gears. It weighed 3580 because it is all stock with an amp and Stealth sub. Wheels may lighten it some but don't want to go extreme on it. Any other bolt-ons I can do? What about short belt to bypass power steering to go with my current underdrive? I never want to put a bar in it but would like to run what is allowable at the track (11.49) without doing more than I have to the car. Maybe full slicks for the track. If I thought a FAST intake and TB would be a big gain for me I might do those since it wouldn't be as bad as a cam/heads swap.

There is still alot left for you to do.

Torque converter: Circle D 4C, Yank SS3600, SS4000, PT3800 or PT4000, Vig 3600 could all get you mid 11s.

FAST 90/90 or 92/92 setup

Custom ram air setup, either chris1313 or SUX2BU style, do a search

What catback do you have? Either get an aftermarket one or put a cutout on the stock one. You could also just remove it when you go to the track altogether. Big weight savings there.

Suspension mods: Drag shocks/springs, adj. tq arm, LCAs and relocation brackets, better rear sway bar

Weight reduction: remove amp and sub, jack and spare, back seats and passenger seats, and front sway bar. This can all be easily re-installed if you like.

Drag wheels/tires. Skinnies up front will shave 50 lbs off the front end and reduce rolling resistance as well. MT drag radials will be your best bet for tires. Depending on what wheels you use, either 275/50 15s, 255/50 16s, or 275/40 17s.

You could also go to 3.73 gears if you like, though many will say it's not worth it if you already have 3.23s.

Weight has factor to do with it too. I went 11.9s with 3600lb race weight, and race weight of 3480 I went best of 11.83. There is alot factors though but you should have no problems getting into 11s with the right stall and tires.

Intercooler2 what track do you normally run at?

What size stall do you have? What kind of tires? Race weight? Also do you flash the converter or foot brake? Just wondering.

My car leaves harder by flashing 1.59-1.57s. Foot braking its 1.63-1.61s.

I go to Cecil since it is 5 mins from the house.

Trying to figure out the best way to skin my 11.5 Cat Tonight I ruled out doing an adder so NA it is for me. I know I need tires and will go with a 3600 stall.

So a cam and heads look like the extent and my choices for mods on top of that. Intake would be cool too but over 1200 for it and a TB and would I gain a ton over my LS-6 and TB? I looked at specs and my motor has a smaller cam than the early LS-1's

Trying to get info on the Stage 2.5R heads and a 224/228 cam unless someone has other cam/head suggestions to look at.

We have some similar mods and I see you are shooting for 11.5 as well. What kind of dyno did you get your numbers on? Was that before or after the mods?

Yeah I heard Cecil is a great track. Far for me, but I might be able to make down a couple times in 09.

My numbers are with all my mods, stall and gear kill dyno numbers. It was on a mustang dyno, corrected. I'm happy with it, it pulls stronger than it ever did before the tune. I went 11.83 without the ftra, 85mm lid, 85mm MAF, ud pulley and base map tune in my predator. So I ditched the predator and now have custom tune with those new mods. Now I hopping for a high 11.5s with those new mods, tune and 15s out back.

Yank PT4400. M/T 245/50/16 and I'm full weight, minus the spare. Never weighed it. I tried both and I got better times not flashing the converter at all. Just from idle.

Stall and tires and you can definitely be there. If you look to do a cam in the future, check out the El Torro from predator-z. Bolt-ons+this cam and tires are into the 10's. One guy, cant remember members name has cut a 1.38 60ft running this setup, very solid. Believe he is in the fastest cam only list, look for the 60ft time to identify him.

I'm ordering a stall this week. Think maybe a 4000 is too much so may opt for a Circle-D 4C 3600. That and tires MIGHT get me 11's?

I've driven a PT4000 and a performabuilt 3600, and there's not that much difference. You could go for the Yank SS4000, and it would probably feel like most 3600s. I think a 3600 will put you right on the 11s and 4000 will guarantee it.

Like I said in the other thread, a passenger might not even notice my PT4000. Ofcourse my car is probably alot quieter than yours.

Its ALOT different! For DD it would suck only because of gas in the city I think. It takes about 2000 rpms to get the car to move. Havnt driven it in a while but maybe a little more. On the other hand, highway driving is at about 1800 rpms so if you go that route its not bad for a DD. Makes the car alot louder which I liked too. Its either you love it or you hate it with a stall that big.
