Default Trying for 45-50+ rwhp gain 5.3VsLS6 Heads+Intake and TB

Hey guys ive got a 2004 GTO with Mods and dyno numbers listed in sig and was looking to TRY and get 45 or so more rwhp. Im kinda on a budget and so far am stuck between the PRC Stg 2.5 5.3L heads and the Patriot Stg 2 LS6 heads for the money. kinda leaning toward milled 5.3's and crush head gasket to get close to 11:1 compression

I would also be adding a Throttle body (85mm minimum) and either porting my ls6 intake or going with a street warrior (if and when it comes out in feb). Sorry i can't afford AFR or Trick Flow but would love them! I was thinking i would try to get around 12 with an intake and throttle body and hoping for around 35 more from heads on top of that. What do you all think?

I would do the 5.3L heads to bump up compression. IMO, I would ditch the TB and take that money, sell your LS6 intake for 300, and buy a used FAST 90 or 92. You would definitley acheive your goal then. TB's aren;t worth the money...

Id have to get a new TB wouldent I? ive got the stock 78mmTB now and it wouldent bolt to a fast would it? The pro products 85mm TB is under 200. Would it fit a Fast? 90mm+ TB's are expensive!

Don't bother with the 85mm TB. it's a waste. just go 90.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/new-produ...ttle-body.html

Those look nice and aren't as expensive as many.

John, i have a 2000 M6 T/A i'm looking at doing a very similar combo too.. Would love to come in close those numbers. my cam is a TSP torquer V2 not quite as agressive and a 112 LSA 232/234, .595"/.598" My question to you is What exhaust do you have.

The PRC 5.3l heads with thinner cometic gaskets & your easily at 50rwhp. These cylinder heads have proven themselves time & time again & are currently on special!!

We are offering free milling to get the compression up a little bit more with your camshaft, and we can ship the heads without springs for $200 less! That way you can install your spring kit off your stock heads if you'd like

Out of the box with just clean-up milling to ensure they are flat they are right at 62cc chambers.

$934.99+shipping for the Stage 2.5 5.3L heads with no spring kit. Milling would depend on what lobes that cam utilizes and what kind of advance you run.
