i started tuning with (jet) tuner cats.
i am on round 5 after playing with parameters and numbers.
i have compensated for the porting of the MAF.
increased timing by 1.5* accross the board and an additional 1* below 2000 RPM
eliminated rear O2's and emissions sensors.
have my fan turn on low at 160* and high at 168*. she runs cooler and more consistant now.
and all i can say is wow.
i have noticed a significant power gain on at least three of my five rounds.
tunercats (now marketed by JET) is very user friendly and i havent had any issues yet.
i am going to start using autotap when it arrives tomorrow and get more in depth.
but i am picking up noticable power with only a few key strokes, so i am happy

I would say you need to up your fan temps. The fans are going to be on all the time (really not necessary). You gotta have at least some heat for good combustion. Keeping engine temps under 195° should be plenty good. The alternator also is going to create more drag to power the fans when they are on.

the engine stays at 160-162* i know its probably excessive, but i would rather stay cool. they arent on all the time, because i can hear them kick in and watch the gauge go down. the alternator is new and has a warranty so i am not concerned about its longevity. the voltage doesnt drop either.
