Default FAST Intake Question

I have a 99 Camaro with a 6.0, ported heads, Fast 78mm intake,ported stock throttle body,36 pound injectors, Texas Speed Torquer V.3 Camshaft - 231/234 .643"/.598" 111 LSA , True duel 3" exhaust, etc...

My question is, I have a FAST 90mm intake and FAST 90mm throttle body. How much difference would it make if I took off the 78 and installed the 90? Would I have to get the car re-tuned?

I have a race tomorrow night and the guy claims to be a bolt on only car but I have had several people tell me that it is a bottom 11 second car. I know for a fact my car is a 11 second car but I don't know if it is in the mid or bottom 11's.

BTW it dynoed 398 to the wheels with the 5.7 through an A4 with a Yank PT3800 converter

anyways.. its not going to screw your tune up very much at all.. nothing noticabe...

your going to pick up power.. would be kinda dumb not to throw it on there.. you could only pick up power.

I agree with lemons, it can't hurt. Should benefit you with the ported heads and the cam.

Thanks for the replys, i'm going to change it tonight when I get off if the gaskets work.

Umm, would he run more lean, from the larger runner area??

Anyways, other than that issue, it wouldnt hurt that much, id assume, but get it tuned ASAP!!

you wont need to get it tuned ASAP.....

will it help.. of course.. but not a HUGE deal..

i didnt tune mine going from ls1 intake to ported FAST setup for a little over a month.. ran just fine, DD and at the track..

i did my head swap about 3 months ago.. still havnt got it tuned.. stock 98s to PRC LS6's.. im sure ill pick up another 10-15RWHP... but its not hurting me that much..

Why go throu the $$ for heads and stuff and skip out a tune...ur leaving a lot on the table, not to mention wtf ur air/fuel is doing. Some peeps get away w/ crap like that, guess ur lucky.

like i said, of course i need one..

just havnt had the time right now.. its not a big deal to me ATM..

and like i said of course i would pick up another 15rwhp... i am FULLY aware of this..

i TOTALLY understand that my car isnt actually going WOT, i understand that its getting way too much air.. im not stupid..

the thing is though... i wanted to do it BEFORE it got freezing cold outside.. and YES i did pick up 15-20 rwhp by just changing them out..... so YES my car is faster with them on instead of stock 98s.. will it be faster with a tune, of course... but it is still faster...

thread wasnt about me putting heads on my car.. im glad you think you cant drive cars after a head swap..

i dont suggest running it without a tune, ur getting more air into the engine, you might run leaner, and at wot i wouldnt do it unless u retune
