Default Blackstone Labs oil analysis - spectrometer out

If anyone is interested in getting their oil analized by Blackstone Labs; their spectrometer is on the fritz.

From my call to the company I assume it will not be working for a while. I just hope it wasn't repossessed as secured collaterial by the bank...

Yeh; I would consider calling them first 260.744.2380 before you send any samples...

You may want to use the other guys if time is important.......

I get my oil tested at work. We have a lab right there! My Co-Worker is considering setting up for testing auto oils in bulk now.

I'll see if I can find out when Blackstone will be up and running again.

I mailed my engine oil sample to Blackstone by US Mail using the instructions contained in the Blackstone kit.

The postal office canceled my postage ($2.00) and returned the sample to my residence eight days after I mailed it.

This blows....

Fed-Ex is the only reliable source I know of. UPS, Airborne, and the USPS all loose, and damage packages for us weekly. The only reason we use them is by request from our customers. For me Fed has been the most reliable.
