WS6 Wheel buffing quesions ?
Ok so my friend has a set of ws6 wheels on his 96 t.a. and it seems like they are either painted silver or like a coating on them is there anyway i could get this off and get them polished up anyways ? Who has suggestions about what to do get get them glossy as in sanding buffing what ?

sandpaper, start aggressive as you want, but you will have to work your way down to atleast a 600.
get a mothers ball that goes on a drill, and use the mothers polish with that.
aggressively wipe off...
the wheels will look brand new.
honestly, you might be able to bypass lots of sanding by using aircraft remover.

here is a pic of the aircraft remover. try automotive parts stores. auto zone, o'reily's, etc. my friend ended up with some pro stars that had been painted black. we sprayed the aircraft remover on them (paint will start to bubble off of the surface), then buffed them with the power ball (be aggressive). they looked new again. that aircraft remover is some nasty stuff. burns the skin!

Don't expect miracles with that stuff. It does a great job, but if those rims were painted from the factory, there won't be anything pretty under there once you remove it. It's not like you will see polished aluminum magically. It will take a lot more work or money to make them shine like the newer WS6 rims.
