larger banks do currency exchange, but they charge you, example. . . if you have 150 US dollars worth of foreign currency, they might charge you like 8-10 bucks. . . maybe more. Usually a percentage, so you end up with like 140 or so actual US dollars. smaller banks don't screw w/this, so go to a national bank chain. Oh yeah, the airports usually have places too. usually I would take my foreign money to a international bank..
They will usually do it right away, since they will have the exchange rates.....
you better have like a million bucks of their money...
That will get you like... 10 dollars... LOL

They will do it. I took an envelope with Bolivian, Columbian, Argentian, Brazilian and a bunch of other random money and they changed it. If they will take Bolivian money, they sure as hell will take Argentian. Remember that there are several exchange places in an airport. Since Houston is a major hub for Latin American travel, i'd bet they will be able to exchange it.

i would just call a bunch of random banks in your area, starting with the one you have accounts at, and just ask what their fees are. i have a feeling that the fees vary greatly from bank to bank.
