Default 1 3/4 OR 1 3/4 to 1 7/8?

First of all I don't plan to ever increase my cubes in any way whatsoever, if anything I'll do cam/heads and/or turbo my LS1. I don't plan to ever go past around 550rwhp, and for at least another year I plan to keep my car as my DD, during that time I might only get bolt-ons. I know headers will make my car nice and throaty, but is there a difference in sound between the two? thanks

I think either way you go you will get good results. The difference will most likely be minimal. But thats just my .02

tsp made a thread about their 1 7/8 headers. made about 7 horsepower more than 1 3/4 from around 3000 up, i think. that was on a stock car. getting 1 7/8 headers should add even more with cam and such.
