Default Need a favor near Firewheel (Garland - Sachse)

My car developed a vibration. I think the tires are flat spotted from sitting too long. I would like to swap wheels and tires with someone and go down the road a few miles to see if the vibration goes away. I have tools and space to do it I just need a volunteer with an hour or so to spare.

TIA,
Matt

But as for having time to do this, kind of out on that.. I am at work today, and have family all in town...

Not this weekend or this week.... I am busy... let me know if you are still needing assistance next weekend....

Thanks. It's no hurry. I can do it whenever. I'll shoot you a PM with my number. Give me a call when you have time and if I have not resolved it yet we'll try to get together on it.

did you think about if there might be a balance problem?

Was it sitting then you drove it and then the vibration started?

Car sat for about 4 months. I started it on occasion but never moved it. I had the tires balanced and rotated. They were not that far out. The vibration got better but did not go away completely after the balance and rotation. It did not have this issue before it was parked for an extended period. The tires have hardly any miles on them.

Thanks anyway Patrick. If I can't hook up with Quickblade I'm sure someone else will come through.

i have worked for many car dealers, and run into this problem often, with cars sitting on the lot for 4-8 months. just air up to proper psi, and drive on the highway for 15-20 miles, and they should round back out. works 90-95% of the time on the new cars. for what its worth

The guys at NTB said the same thing. I drove it around 190 for 10 miles or so but it was raining so I doubt any heat ever built up in the tires. Guess I'll try it again for a longer distance.
