Default aftermarket Oil pressure guage and stock OPS

So I am running an autometer oil pressure guage and am using its OPS. I am going to be installing my FAST intake and am wondering if I need to install the stock Oil pressure sensor since I'm not using the the stock guage cluster ('76 datsun).
Do I just need it there to plug the hole in the intake manifold? Or can I just not put it in at all?

It goes into the block (stock anyways).
My best guess is that when you remove it theres going to be a huge oil leak there so it needs to be plugged.
