Default New to f-body's and have some questions

Ok so i've been a mustang owner till now and WOW i've gotta say it pisses me off when my stock WS6 stomps my old stang in the dirt......... but any how what i was wondering is that i have a lid and lack of exhaust and a ported throttle body and im beating all my buddies in there t/a's and what not and they have way more stuff done, and it runs 8.40's in the 1/8th on street tires and its a auto , so i'm wondering what would make my car run so differant that other fbodies it has 118k on the clock so is there maybe something done to it that i might not know ?

Does it sound as mean or meaner than your buddies? Also it could have a stall and/or gears in it...just a few possibilities off the top of my head.

your kidding right...just get a build 4l60e they have gone into the 9s, or a turbo 400 if you are afraid of breaking it...leave the glide for the big cube guys
