Default Some more appearence goodies.. Valve covers and brackets

While i have everything apart i figured i would polish up the valve covers... these are a PITA!! the castings suck... but

also did my coil pack brackets in the same color as my FAST


cleaned up coils and put it back together

Looks really good man.

About how long did the valve covers take? Looks like your not done as theres still some scratches in the metal... But overall looks great. Maybe paint the coils red?

yeah i polished them a bit more with 2k grit/polish they are mirror finish now.... they really didnt take that long, prob 4 hours or so spread over a few nights

Seal em up and they'll be good to go for a long time!

That looks great.. I didnt have the patience and painted mine. hidden by the FRCs anyway.

those look great. I'm in the process of cleaning up a set of my own. Except I can't be bothered to be that ****, so I'll just be painting them red.

Once something is polished wont a coat or two of clear "seal" it?

Oh. I didnt know thats what sealing was. I thought it was a chemical or a different process. Did think it was so simple.

They look good.

Coating them with a clear coat helps to keep water and oxygen away from them which is what causes oxidation and discoloration.
