I run the ZOOM HP. Have had stock and SPEC 2+.

If your ride is basically stock a CF "type" (organic/ceramic) type disc is fine.

When I did my 383 that type of clutch would not hold. My car weighs 4400 lbs and the ZOOM (kevlar/kevlar) holds great even running a tire at the track. street maners are very good, no chatter.

pic of ZOOM HP, single solid metal disc, big solid springs

I have a Valeo LT4 pressure plate that I will sell you for much less than a new one then all you need is the clutch disk of your choice. The Valeo LT4 is the same pressure plate that came on my Spec 2 but I didn't find that out until I ordered the whole kit. I should have researched a little more before I bought it I could have had the same kit for half the price.

PM me if your interested.

I went with the ram powergrip HD. The zoom clutch uses the stock disk cage/springs with their friction material, so there is no way I would trust that to hold up to the abuse.

Had a RAM Powergrip for a couple years and only a few thousand miles before it started slipping. Then RAM replaced it with the new Powergrip HD combo. Worked great for 2 thousand miles, then it stopped disengaging. Replaced all hydraulics because the clutch components looked perfect. After pulling the trans 3 times over a years time chasing the problem, I replaced the still new looking clutch components 1 by one trying to figure it out. I replaced the disc last and now the clutch works.

NO more RAM for me.

I am currently running a SPEC pressure plate and www.clutchnet.com unsprung disc. This combo is very grippy. So grippy that I sheared 3 teeth off my pinion last week on street tires. I may switch out the unsprung disc for one of their sprung units to soften the blow to my weak factory 10 bolt. It doesn't look like strength will be an issue at at all with the Clutchnet stuff, I'm impressed.

That is what I would like to end up with down the road. I put a RAM powergrip in the first week of July along with my S60. I put around 7,000 miles on it and still holds strong. I have not been to the track with it yet but did DD with it along with DR's untill I stored it for winter. I also was not easy on it.

I had the Ram powergrip and it wouldn't hold with just bolt-ons, Have the Mcleod Street Twin now and it's fantastic. Drives pretty much like stock and hooks HARD.
