What should i expect from my cammed LT1
In the process of beefin up my 94' LT1. Have almost all the parts. After blowing a head gasket, I decided to dump some money into it. Here is what will be in the motor when finished:
Hooker Longtubes
2.5" true duals
Lloyd Elliot cam 228/235 .560/.560 109 LSA
1.6 roller rockers
Hardened pushrods
Milled heads, .030 should be about 11.5:1 compression
New opti spark
I plan on getting a PCMforless tune. What kind of power should i be expecting to make?
thanks

I'm sure with a good tune you'll make 350 rwhp with that Lloyd Elliott cam, he had a cam spec'd out for mine with less dur. @ 50 & said it should make around 340-350 rwhp with a good tune, stock heads & compression, so get it tuned!! I will say i'm VERY VERY happy with Ions tune from Madtuner.

As far as the power people get the impression that you will have a power curve that rises past 6k. You will with ported heads, but on stockers the heads will choke down the power on the top end so you will feel the power curve drop off.

I'd expect somewhere in the area of 345-350whp. Keep us updated though. This Lloyd Elliot cam is one that I'm kinda checking out for a cam install, since it's slightly larger than the CC503. Plus, with a somewhat tighter LSA than most, it should have a pretty nice lope to it.

It's a nice sounding/performing cam. Especially if you like your stock bottom end. I put down just under 400rwhp with ported heads and an extremely restrictive exhaust after the y pipe. I'd get lifters while you're in there too for peace of mind. My car only had 40k on it when I did cam swap and one of the lifters already had a crack in it.
