Default Side Pipes Sitting Pretty

So shes off the hoist today, it was time to bring her home. My boys at Chassis Stop finished up my six point chrome moly cage with removable side bars and removable hide away shute behind the licence plate. The brothers did some beautiful work with the cage. While I was there they fixed up the crack in my intercooler and modded my tunnel for the Turbo400 conversion.

My next plan is to have a Defusor made up to fill in the missing exhaust area. I got many requests to post more pictures of my side pipes once the car is actually off the hoist. Forgive so many pictures, I wanted to get all the angles so you can get an idea of how stealth the pipes actually look.

Here are some rear view shots :

I just came off the hoist so its sits a little high until the car is rolling. I also have the car on some 28" slicks, so it does sit a little high naturally.

My car is white and I had side exhaust for a while....till my paint turned yellow and brown from the fumes....I don't think its a good idea on a nice street car.....looks good now though!

ahh makes sense since you have to try to control ~1k hp.

will look great once you fill in the rear with your diffuser.

I guess you need to whipe down the paint after you drive. I get the black crap on the rear also ... no matter where the exhaust is.

Do you have a sound clip of the side pipes? The LB king vid does not have your car with pipes. Looking to see the difference in sound before the pipes and after.

Great car and excellent 9.9 run!!!

That looks fantastic.... now get us some video C5s have a double A-arm suspension... so when the tires hit the ground comming off of a lift it holds the car up high until the car is driven and the tires have a chance to move out and let the car come down.

To run the 28" tire, did you just remove the finder liners?

I removed mine to be safe. You need to be carful on the height of the car to as you may smash the tire into the fender.

I get many PM's with people asking if they could do this with a N/A application. Because of where the collector is on the headers I have seen, It would not be possible to get back threw the front fender as they are already past the oil pan. You cannot do the rear fender exit without removing the stock gas tanks.

That is so badass... Just carry a bottle of quick detailer and a microfiber towel and make it your routine. lol

oMG, with the rear diffuser AND side pipes, that will be one unique Vette... Awesome!
