Default Best shop in SW WI to do machine work?

I live close to Madison, don't want to mess with shipping the block with it being iron and am looking for someone to bore, etc, my 6.0 block when I get home from Iraq in 2010. I will build it myself, so I need a good machinist that has done LS engines. Also, someone who is good at porting heads. I have a set of L92's that I will need cleaned up to go on my 370. If anyone knows of a shop, let me know. If they aren't a sponsor, just PM me. Thanks, Jess

C&S in MILWAUKEE /http://www.cs-performance.net/ 262-781-0469/One of the largest and most complete machine shops in the state/Best work around call any speed shop around and ask about there rep. Good people to deal with just make sure you don't give them your project during the summer time because of long turn around. Your heads might have to be done by someone else. Can't think of the shop name now (milwaukee), but he is a friend of my relative. PM for more info

Carl Wegner gang would be on my list of folks to talk with if I lived in WI and wanted speed work done. Wegner did/does Grand National NASCAR engines. They used to have a second shop in Concord, North Carolina and I knew most of the folks that worked there. From my experience with the crew that was in Concord, Carl only hires people that really know what they are doing, have good work ethic and do the job right.

They should be able to do LSx machine work correctly. Check out their websites. Best of Luck with your project.

Thanks guys. I guess there aren't any closer to Madison that anyone knows of? I had Performance Head Service do a set of heads for a few years ago and wasn't too impressed. Any other suggestions?
