Default 8ga power and ground for fuel pump too much?

I have some 8 ga nice amp wire that just happens to be of use to me for wiring up my a1000 perhaps.

Is this too much when wired with a 30amp relay, or will it work fine?

Any help is appreciated. Just figured id use it since i have it.. Not skimp out on some radio shack 12 ga or somethin..

thanks!

You can't really go too big on the wire. Routing and connectors become a problem when you run large gauge wire. Should work out fine with the A1000 though.
