Default driveshaft length

so im workin on buyin a moser 9" from someone on here and they have a spohn sway bar which is good and they also have a 3.5" chromoly DS. but the DS is for the 9" and a 4l80e i have a t56 and want to know is this DS to long for the car or to short? if its to long then i can have it shortened.

Don't know the length, but shortening is easily doable, but how much a good welder will charge isn't anything I could guess at.

Just measured my stock unit and it's right about 48 inches long

shouldnt it theoretically be the same since the driveshaft is the same length stock for a4 and m6 transmisions?

hmm maybe? and shortening is no problem my dads friend own one of the best weliding shops around and the thing they do best is driveshafts

Yeah I'm having some problems installing the drivers side header...it won't go in. Prob gonna have to jack the motor up...can't do it right now though cause I just downed 3 of them pills and I can't lean over the car...

LMAO...well lie under the car and jack it up with your new tool . I am going to try to do it with just the help of my friend, but neither of us have ever done it before(or anything close) and I am not really looking forward to it. How do you jack the motor up exactly(noob ?)?
