6.0(lq4) deck height
im building a 403 shortblock from an lq4, scat 4.0 crank, and using Wiseco
K456F05 pistons-looking for rods, which i think will be 6.125
in the Wiseco cat., they show the LS1's as having a 9.240 deck, 6.0's as 9.230-is their a diff between the 2, or are they all 9.240? if my lq4 is 9.240, then i can use the 6.125 rods, which i cal. to having the piston .005 in the hole(before decking)-i was going to try and meas the deck, but dont think i can get accurate enough at home
i may have to take it to the machine shop for ck'n, but wanted to have all the parts beforehand
the comp. height is 1.110 on the pistons

I've never seen a difference more than .005" betweenbrand new iron and aluminum blocks. I've seen LSX blocks more like 9.260" as well.
The important part is the sum of your parts. Add it all up, and it comes out to 9.235" which the Wiseco catalogue even tells you to get 0 deck. With stock GM gaskets being around .051" thick, you can have the block cut to 9.225" and get right around .040 quench.
