grinded down calipers + powerslots not fit?

grinded down calipers + powerslots not fit? I have powerslot rotors, stock calipers, hawk pads
the calipers are ground down far more then any I have ever seen and its still not even close to fitting my 10x15 7 and 7/8th backspacing holeshots...these came off another TA that just ground down stock calipers and fit fine.
any ideas what my issue is?
