what cc will give me the best ET on 799's
i just purchased a new set ported of 799's 2.02 intake valves..1.6 exh...my question is, there at 64 cc's right now..would milling these down to 60 or 59 be worth it?.....i know 59cc's will give me mor compression...but will it give me better topend at 64cc's???...Help a brother out...which way would you guys go.....

More horsepower makes you go faster. The saying is "no such thing as a dumb question" this is definitely an uninformed question. Milling heads increases compression which should increase hp. Will you go faster and quicker? Good luck.

Have you read any posts on dynamic compression ratio (DCR)? Here's a link to a spreadsheet that's pretty cool:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...sier-than.html
Basically DCR tells you how much static compression ratio (SCR) to use to get the most power out of a cam without having detonation on pump gas.
You can enter the combustion chamber cc's into the spreadsheet in that link. On pump gas you want a max DCR of around 8.5. The spreadsheet also lets you put in the numbers for any cam you want and it figures out the DCR for you.
