Do a search for "speed density tuning" in the correct forum. There's a lot to it. You can't just remove it without making adjustments to the computer.

What all's done to the car? Unless your pushing well over 400 to the wheels I'd leave the MAF. I've been running Speed Density since I bought the car and wish it had the MAF cause it can be a bit finicky when it get's cold outside.

Just stock, I think I'll be leaving that part alone. I am going to get the 85mm MAF from a truck or ZO6 then and a 92mm Nick Williams TB. Do you think that might work out better?

Just leave the stock one alone until it get some more mods. And save the money that you were going to use to buy a new MAF and put that towards a tune or tuning software and delete the MAF then. A good tuner will tune the VE tables anyway, so it should be no difference in the price of a tune. And if they don't tune the VE tables, just find someone that will or, again, just buy the software and do it yourself

I agree. Leave the MAF alone for now. Many more places to free up hp. Also, what plans do you have for the 92mm TB? Can't just bolt that up either. You will need another intake and some tuning.
