Crank Bolt removal on Engine Stand

Crank Bolt removal on Engine Stand
I have my new motor on a engine stand as of now and I'd like to keep it there my problem is that I can't get the crank bolt loosened to remove the balancer and finish disassembeling this motor, any tips? I have already tried using a high powered impact to break it loose with no luck and I'd don't want to remove it to install the flexplate and go through all that is I don't have to. Thanks in advance.

Might be able to install 2 bolts in the back of the crank and wedge a bar against the stand. Or even better drill, and bolt a heave piece of steel to the back of the crank, wedged against the stand to bell housing bolt.
I would be very cautious about knocking the whole motor and stand over while trying to brake it loose.
Another option would to use a very large strap wrench on the pulley itself.

I bought this tool from Summit. I was in the same situation and it worked like a charm for me

ok heres something you could try.... it worked for me.... install 2 longer bolts into the holes where the flexplate would go on the crank.... get a "big bertha" screw driver and wedge it between the bolts, then rotate it so the screw driver is against the engine stand to motor "bolts"....
