Percy's has ok'd us to do a group buy of 25 4th gen f-body tinted rear drop-in black-out windows at the clear window price. These windows will be drop-in black-out with 30% tinted material. The 25 buyers will recieve these windows at 399.99 which is the clear window price. After the g.b. They will be priced at 445.00. Production will begin when 10 confirmed orders are reached and will be produced within 2-3 weeks from the 10 orders being recieved.

well they should start shipping out tomorrow. They are a pain to package but we are going to get as many ready to go on Friday as possible. We are going by order date and you were the first guy on the list. thanks again Jason!

Just stopped by to look at the windows before the final cut and they look awesome!! we are sure everyone is going to be very pleased! :D

The window is gonna come with the glue to hold it in yes?

If not, what do you reccommend to use to hold it in place? I'm hoping to get it in the car and have a factory appearance, or at least good enough (with the molding around the edge in place) so the unknowing eye won't even catch it.

Originally they were includung the glue but they decided it was a liability issue :eyes: Anyways you will need an OEM style window adhesive. I believe that it is an essex u413 primer and u400 hv adhesive.

So regular window glue will work? I have a local glass guy that's gonna pull the old window out of a formula hatch I picked up, and this will be going in it's place.

I just want to make sure I tell them what's needed, in case they don't have the right stuff.

what we have found is essex is what most shops use, just dont use some house brand auto parts store crap and you should be fine! thanks again Jason!

The rear window just looks funny bare LOL

The tinted actually look pretty good and you dont even notice the defroster lines are not there.

Just for giggles, is this street legal? Plus, could I see a pic of the tinted version?

Can they go darker that 30% something like 5% percent which is what "limo" tint should be? I just don't want it to be lighter than my side windows.

best thing to do would be to buy the clear drop-in and have it tinted. thanks!

I too am interested to see how the tint compares to my currently tinted windows.

the tint is 30%, so if you want lighter or darker, the clear window is the way to go. Then you can apply your own shade of tint to match what you have on the sides. thanks!

Hey Karl sorry about the misunderstanding, we posted a while back that they were not including the adhesive due to liability issues :eyes: sorry for the confusion. Let us know if we can answer any questions for you.

P.S.: The instructions should have the part# for the adhesive.

didn't see this discussed, but how long do the windows (rear for instance) keep their clarity (i.e. not get foggy) Thanks!

the foggy that you are referring to are fine scratches due to cleaning on standard lexan. Speedglass will not do this due to the hardcoating that is applied. thanks!

Just had the Percy's Lexan Rear Window installed today. The Install did not cost anything cause the install tech nicked the edge of the sail panel. Oh well, it's got the darn bubbles in it from the glue, so repaint of replace.

I'll call a GM dealer where a couple a friends work n see what they say about that 03-08-98-001 recall for the sail panel !

If not, I'll change it out myself later...

Here's a pic of the back window. 27lbs lighter ! I should be at 3350 now. I'll verify that when I go to the fertilizer plant and pay for the gold dust I had spread on the hay field

The Farm is quite, but the 1/8 mile of Gravel road SUCKS !

Thank you for getting back to me on the glue. Even tho mine was ordered at the end of Jan at the time it was included in the sale. Your customer Service blows. I planed on ordering a front lexan windshield and another complete st for my cam only car but i guess after this i will take my money else were.
