Default Mac Header Mod

Anyone ever done this mod while headers are on the car? Looking to cut off the ball flanges and weld a 2.5-3 inch collector and finish with a 3 inch y pipe. If so pictures?

I think the only way you're going to do that on the car is by welding the inside.
Really don't think you can get 360 degrees with a welder on the outside.
Why not just take them off?
Thats like comparing damn near impossible to just time consuming.

I have some. They were done by MTI. Y pipe is 3" into a 3 1/2" flowmaster collector with a 3 1/2" cutout.

i didnt do it in the car. I cut the collectors off and welded 3 inch slip fit joints onto them, and made a 3 inch y pipe.
