Need confirmation on some exhaust questions...
I have a completely stock exhaust system on my 99 t/a. Thinking of adding hooker headers or Pacesetter Lt's and either a used Borla catback my firend has for $200, or a used Hooker i-pipe back muffler with tips ($200 also). Will I need to replace the stock cats and stock y-pipe or anything else, or can I pull it off with just the headers and the used exhaust? What kind of gains could I expect? Thanks alot for any suggestions and answers!
Also thinking of changing to 3.73 rear gear form 2.73... any naysayers? It's a DD so I don't wanna go 4.10. Not sure how much gas milage I'll be losing with the 3.73 over a 3.4?... Also grateful for any comments on this! Thx

go with the hooker headers, you will need a new y-pipe, and go with the hooker exhaust, you will be happy with this set-up. on the gear question, since you have 2.73 a jump to 3.42 will net a noticeable improvement and give a little bit better gas mileage than 3.73, just my opinion

+1 on all of it.
