Default tire size + stock gear question

Any body here ran a 28in tall slick on a stock gear? How'd it work in comparison(if u have)to a 26in tall tire?

with the stock gear being a 3.23???? and the 28" it could act a little bit more a 3.42 gear which can be better if you spraying the car

wrong.... if your on a 323 rear end and put in a 28 inch tire its more like a 273.... if you have a 273 and 28 inch tire its more like a 24x's..

i would sugest this... is there a reason your going with such a big tire... im guessing with stock gears you havnt modded the car a lot.. which means you should hook just fine on a 26 inch mt street or something...

I have a set of 28s laying around so I was gonna try them. Im not sure what gear is in the car. Its a a4 96 formula. Im gonna buy some 26s for it,just wanted to see if a 28 will hurt me.

It will probably feel a little sluggish with a huge tire.

I run a 28" tire with a 3.42 in my dad's car.

SS4000 stall

3600ish lbs

H/C setup

1.51 60 ft

The stall would make a difference with gear and tire choices, but if a stock stall the 28 would suck on motor.

on a N20 car you probably see a gain just due to traction

yes i had forgot to mention that with a stall with act as a 3.42 gear and be better but would definately suck w/o a stall.

So if the car has a stall,a 28 should be ok?
