Default what does it take???

just wanting to know everyones set up. i plan on doing a magic stick 3 or 4 with a pair of ported heads. (have not done any research yet, feel free to give me your thoughts) basic bolt ons. fast 90/90. with a good tune. i have a nitrous kit on the car now... but i would rather na a 11 second pass, thats really what im after.

will the factory clutch hold up? what are some decent clutches? i have only looked into my summit catalog. but i do plan on adding a lightweight flywheel if i need to replace the clutch.

same question goes for the rear end. its all factory, how will it hold up? i will probably run on a lesser drag radial so it will give some, but at the same time hook pretty well.

i also plan on doing a little bit of mile racing. would this set up be good for the mile races?

clutch life is dependent upon driver. So how much do you abuse it, and how well are you shifting when your doing it? 60' is gonna hurt bc of the m6, so getting there by hp alone is gonna be tuff. But assuming you can cut a 1.7x 60', I think you can hit 11's easy with a h/c setup. but again the 60' is going to be the maker or breaker.

good luck,

on my lt1...i had lca but and they made a world of difference. My 01 t/a ws6 is on stock suspension and I cut consistent 1.6x 60' on nitto 555's. Im not doing any supsension work until i get my new rearend. I dont want to have to change anything. And as of right now Im happy with my 60'.

Oh yeah tell of two drivers:

One buddy of mine has an 02 ss with full bolt on and cam making 375 rwhp. He just tripped like 80k on stock clutch.

I know a dumbass with an 00 camaro making over 400 to the ground and he's been through 4 clutches (ram stage 3) in a year.

those things plus install are like 1000 a pop.

So again how do you drive?
