As Shoebox said, at a min you should run LT4 springs. You can sometimes see people selling the LT4 spring kits complete for ~$50. If budget is not an issue, I would get some good springs, that way if you ever go cammed in the future, you won't have to swap springs a second time.

Comp Cams 1.6 Promagnum NSA roller rockers.
ARP 7/16" rocker arm studs.
Trickflow Guideplates.
Trickflow Chromemoly pushrods.
Comp Cams 918 beehive springs w/ seats, locks, and retainers.
You would have a very stable valvetrian (assuming you checked the geometry properly).
Cool thing is that once you decide to install a cam, you'd already have all of ths supporting mods installed.

well i took my heads in for a valve job and they put new replacement valve springs would they still fit with the comp roller rockers or would i have to swap the springs out

how much of a power gain to the wheels would i gain off 1.6 rr im will be takin it to the dyno tommorow all i have dont to it besides the rockers is a magnaflow catback
