Prochgr Enclosed or Open---Bypass vlv pro and cons
After stepping up to a F1a, I think time has come to upgrade from the Procharger Pro flow surge valve.

to a race valve. Looking for a bit of insight on the pros and cons when it comes to either the Open or Closed version.

I am not into the loud rush of air when it opens, even though I dont think you would hear it over the F1a. I dont have a problem with the return plumbing be it I am not using the stock air inlet hat.

Even had another thought of adding another Proflow off of my RH side intercooler (still running the twins) to the inlet hat.
Current plumbing worked fine with the D1 up to 640hp. Im sure the F1a could use a bit more help. Setup the F1a for around 15psi.

Race valve open is like the flood gates of hell. My landlord has one on his F1 firehawk. It literally sounds like a 747 until you give it gas and it shuts.

watch 1:45-2:00 gives you a good idea.

The open to atmosphere race valve seems to be less restrictive when you compare the two designs. In this Z06 we just swapped it over from the open bypass valve to the closed one, and we're going to experiment with dumping the boost at different locations. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=51
