Default Does H/C/I affect cold start enrichment??

Have a 2000 SS with the MS3 cam, stage 2 5.3 heads, full exhaust...blah blah blah, and under 45 degress, won't start, or is VERY hard to start, and blows black sooty fuel rich exhaust. Checked the oil, and its loaded with fuel. What could be going on????? Tuner said heads and cam doesn't usaully affect cold weather starts, and he didn't touch the enrichment tune. Any idea's????

Sounds like the tune is way off and should be redone.

Fuel in the oil? I don't know how the tune can do that? Cold weather starts are successful based on control of airflow.

If your VE/MAF are stock, your OL fueling is off, therefore your afterstart enrichment is probably going to be way too rich. If your tuner told you that changing the heads/cam will have no effect on afterstart enrichment fueling....well maybe you need to find a new tuner.

The MAF is an SLP 85mm unit, which was on the car when it was dyno tuned. Its always ran a bit rich till the engine got warmed up, after the hci. But now thats it winter, it doesn't want to start, and after 3 days of trying to start it, i pulled the dipstick to see how cold the internals were still after being in the garage, it smelled VERY gassy and a was a bit runny. I tried unplugging the MAF, with no effect. Any sensor i could pull to get the thing to run so i can get it tuned?
