You can use the stock flexplate (elongate a few holes) Or upgrade to an SFI one. Depends what type of torque converter you want to use. I am going w/ an ols style th400 converter since it will be easier to sell if I ever have to. Part number for that flexplate it TCI 399753

If you do the old torque converter route, you will need a crank adapter (Hughes performance makes this) to engage the pilot on the torque converter and help center it. The TCI flexplate comes with one, but it looks like a toy compared to the Hughes one.

Torque converter- you can get one special made w/ a longer pilot, tell whatever company that you are useing a th400 and an LS1. But for me, A ton of people have old style th400 converters and it will be easier to sell if needed.

-Need a custom size drive shaft

-to get speedo working, there are some posts to wire it for free, otherwise, you need to buy the correct wheel and a few other things.

-Custom crossmember- a few sponsers make them. Or save money and purchase a stock M6 one, and all you need is a stock tranny mount, and a 1 inch shim to raise the tail to the correct level. (for 4 inch th400 tails )

-Dipstick tube- Madman Racing sells them for th400 into f-body swaps

-Might as well get a trans temp guage

-Save $$ and get a deep pan from a junk yard th400. Just get the bolt and sleeve that hold the filter, and the plastic tube.

I can't think of anything else. I am in the process of doing the same thing. just need to order a dipstick tube, torque converter, and custom driveshaft. But the driveshaft will wait till spring when I mount everything and I pull it from hibernation. I'm sure others will chime in with something that I missed..

I believe there are a couple stickies at the top of this trans forum page. Take a look in there as well. Vince
