Default need help spending money wisely

i have a 99 ss m6. with long tubes and spray thats it

i ordered a ms4 cam, and bought a pair of ls6 heads with some dual springs in them for a pretty good deal.

my question is, should i port the heads and worry about the intake manifold and throttle body later? or should i leave the heads and get a ls6 intake manifold? OR ( my favorite) port the heads and then get a ls6. i just cant drop 1300 on a ported 92/92 after the heads and cam. this is a budget build for sure. unless there is no comparison between the ls6 intake and the fast intakes. what kinda power differences are they?

my goal is around 475rwhp na. its just got to be over 450. i would love to make 600 on a 100 shot though...

I would leave the heads alone hand porting can result in actually lower numbers and make the heads not flow as good if done incorrecty. the port job may look good but it can really mess things up if not done right. Hend porting results in each runner being different also. Id leave them alone and get an ls6 intake it really made a difference on my car and i love it. Yes thats a good package youve thrown together you could probably get 450 rwhp with cncd heads but with stock ls-6 heads you can most likely expect 420-440 rwhp im not saying its not possible because each motor is different.

We offer cnc porting of customers castings for a very affordable price. $650 includes full cnc porting, cnc valve job, milling & reassembly! This will setup your 243 castings to the same as every set of PRC LS6 heads we ship. Your power goals really depends a lot on the mods installed on the car, but the cylinder heads cnc ported should at 40-45rwhp. We ship the PRC head all the time configured for the MS camshafts so we can mill them accordingly...

Give us a call if you have any questions, we've engine dyno tested that combo for GM High Tech performance, you can checkout the article on their site!!

The ported cylinder head should add more power than a ported intake combo for about half the money!

Now you're thinking. Lots of people selling their 90's to get 92's. so if youre on a budget thats the way to go

If you going to spend money on an intake you just need to get a FAST 90 or 92 I would say 90 if you are a stock cube daily driver type of guy.
