Default What's your impression of your Interceptor Gauge?

I'm looking into gauges but want to know what you guys think of your interceptor. Also what pod company did you use. Please put your all around impression of it from install to how well it functions.
Thanks.

What parameters are you trying to monitor?

I didn't use a pod, I made my own. Others were too expensive.

The installation was absolute cake; however, I was not using external sensors/sending units so no spicing or soldering was required.
Overall function was great. I'm currently running two Interceptors and I've compared them to my Autometers and both are dead on.

this guage does not report oil pressure on these cars. air fuel will have tho have an external sensor wired in. they are cool gauges, but if i could do it again, i would get an LS6 intake instead.

got mine installed earlier....no it doesnt do oil pressure which really bummed me out cause that was one of the main reasons i got it!!! gut it will once you buy a add on kit, cost more money but oh well i guess....anyway, other than that, its simple to install, easy to set up thus far, i am only having a couple of problems with it, the torque and HP readings, cant get them to work??? but so far its still a new toy so its fun for me....

I like mine. I have coolant temp and fuel pressure on display. It is nice to be able to check a ton of things like trans temp, intake temp, and others. The way I looked at it was It was cheaper and saved more space buying that than buying 4 different gauges.

For you, if you want to monitor oil pressure or fuel pressure, youll just need to pick up the adapters. For air/fuel Id say just pick up a wideband gauge. Other than that you can get all the little fun things like mpg and stuff off the stock readings on the interceptor.

My buddy has an Interceptor in his SRT with a sensor to obtain the fuel pressure reading.
He said his sensor was $60.

Yep thats about what they run. Its a little pricey, but its nice to be able to run so many functions off of that single gauge.

I love mine. I got a limited edition that loads a Pontiac logo when it comes on then goes to the readings. I leave it set to knock retard & coolant temp. You can pretty much monitor anything if you wanna do some extra wiring for the stuff it won't read straight outta the box plugged into the OBDII port.

I will be installing separate gauges for my A/F(goin PLX wideband), fuel pressure & nitrous pressure on the pillar.

You didnt get a limited edition. You can set that up on any of them. You just have to go through the menu and find the option to change the startup logo.

Really? Can you explain how to do this? I thought it had to have the logo preloaded on it by Aeroforce.

I fell in love with this thing when I looked it up. So how does it work? Can you hit a button and go through different things it measures?

It has 2 small push buttons on it that you push to scroll through whatever you want to be displayed. I have trans temp and knock retard displayed on mine. Also reads and clears trouble codes and has a built in shift light as well as many other features. Very easy to install and set up.

Its a nice gauge, I love mine.

for anyone interested in checking this gauge out, here you go...

http://www.aeroforcetech.com/GMtech.html

i got my HP stuff figured out on mine, and since then been loving it!!! i got it set up to show the pontiac logo as well, then i go to cycle scan once i am driving....slowed the cycle down to like 10 seconds per screen so i get to see all my selected parameters...i love it, more and more each day!!!! well worth the money to me
