Stock Pioneer 12-Disc CD Changer
I have a 2000 Trans Am. I recently bought a stock 12-disc changer on eBay. It came with two "ear" mounting brackets. As I started to put it into the car, it seems to be not as obvious as I had intended it to be. I don't want to "rig" it into place; I want to do it right. If anyone has the stock disc changer mounted with photos, or any other information, please help me out. Thanks.

The changer mounted to brackets that were welded to the floor pan in cars that had it factory installed. If you're good at welding, the part number is 10276577.
Otherwise, slip a piece of plywood or mdf under the carpet then put your bracket screws through the carpet into the wood and your changer won't go anywhere.

Thanks. I did some research and found the same answer. It's hard to believe that on the entire Internet, I can't find a picture of one of these changers mounted. I arrived at the same conclusion - plywood or a thin piece of aluminum. Thanks again!!

I got the brackets and screwed them down.
There are 2 of the #23 brackets used.
Here's some pictures...

Thanks for all your help, guys!! And thanks for the pictures. I bought a stock mounting kit on eBay and mounted it. It's a lot more self-explanatory when you have the right parts (the CD changer DID NOT come with the right parts). Thanks again.
