PT88 Rearmount 408 (Longrange4u's LMR Build)
Well, many many of you know that this has been a lllllooooonnnngggg time comming. And this has been through not one... but two different collector edition F-Body's (another completely crazy story, for another time).
So to keep the story short... we will fastforward to after my CETA was crashed by a friend before I ever got to race it, and when I identified my replacement car (which my friend paid for). Oh and before any "haters" chime in... YES I have paid alot of FRIKING money for everything I have had done... some of you have time to do it yourself for alot cheaper... I work my butt off (to include 35months in the last 5 years between Iraq and Afghanistan) and have money... but no time. We all pay a price..
There are captions between the pictures... and links to VID's at the end!
SO... where was I? Oh! The car was identified....
Then quickly sent to LMR (I decided to not repeat past mistakes and stay with a reputable shop that is known for great work)... Gents, listen to me.... I have been doing this for much longer then I care to admit (ask some of the old timers that have been laughing at me the whole way)... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR... a good shop is a little more expensive but WORTH IT!
The shop of choice! LMR
The other bad thing about NEVER getting to drive your car... and having it in a great shop... is you want to just get all the fun stuff done first, that way you dont have to worry about it going back to the shop... time and time again! So we started the swap (From the CETA)
The car started to come together nicely, and Josh and crew worked hard to make it look nice as it came together!!
Along the way... we decided to keep some of the old... and bring in some of the new! We decided to see what rear-mount records we could set with this true-street car (Still has the AC, etc)... but we needed to add a few tricks up our sleeve!!
Then comes some pretty factor...
Comming towards the end... Josh was concerned about my current fuel setup (it was still bastardized from the "previous" shop).... so we went back to Nasty (already had his valve covers)... To Josh's suprise and frustration.. and my pocket books suprise... his beautiful tank didnt fit right... I think some of that had to do with the rear-mount setup... so Josh went back to work!
And this is the magic he worked...
So now that everything was together... it looked like we had taken care of everything.. Fuel... Fire... and Air... it was time to turn the key on her!!!!
Startup VID
And not long after the put it on the Dyno for a few nice pulls!!
Dyno Video
Bottom line:
Longrange4u 02 SS
408 Iron block (Built by Erik Koing)
-32cc Wisco Turbo duty Dish pistons
Callies forged rods
Eagle 4340 crank
TH400 w/ Chance welded converter
TSP Stage 1 72cc heads
BS3 pushing 96lb injectors
1400RWHP FMIC
Edlebrock intake
Nasty fuel system and valve covers
9" 35spline rear with Locker
All UMI suspension
AMS-1000 with Co2
Afco dbl adjustable shocks (frnt and rear)
and more.. and more... I am sure I am missing a bunch, but feel free to ask!
She is still in the tunning stages... we are taking it to the track end of Jan or beg of Feb (gotta love TX).
Pulled 804RWHP with only a little timing pushing 18lbs of boost or so... NOT BAD going through a TH400. Think there is still alot to go... the PT-88 may be our limitation now (Considering an S-85). Wont make any more major changes untill I have had a chance to drive it some and have fun with it!!
See you fellas at the track!!! And to those of you that have always been supportive and helpful... thank you!!!
(PS, dont trash my thread if you have anything negitive to say!!)

I would like to see a dyno graph to compare the torque curve to mine. Mine doesn't look like a regular curve, and have concluded that the converter can't hold it down.
Here is mine....

Car looks fantastic... I'm also in the middle of finishing up my 3 year project....similar to yours, but its a front mount S-85.
I'm actually surprised with your dyno numbers. I figured somewhere around 750rwhp max on pump gas. Should haul the mail in a hurry.
Good work!
EDIT: Just realized that you are still running a a grill infront of the intercooler, are you seeing effective cooling with the grill or are you looking at removing it?

Here is the Dyno graph. Like Jared said this is on a VERY conservitave tune. It has low timing and it can still be leaned out. I will try and get some pics of the custom front bumper we had done for Jared, but no longer has the grill.
