Default ALTERNATOR Probs..

Ok here is the deal.. A friend has a Ls1 camaro A/4. He is in the S/A area and I live in the Austin area. His Alt is not charging. Do you think he could make it here in battery power alone? Thanks for the help!

my wifes tahoe had a bad alternator. It died in San Antonio and only made it 30 mins with a new battery towards Dallas. I had to drive to her and install a new one.

When my alternator went out I only made it about 20 miles on a new battery. This was at night though so I had to have the headlights on. SA to Austin would be a huge gamble.

Unless it has one of the massive batteries used in car audio.... I'm going to say no. I had a 100% fully charged optima on my mustang alternator was gone in the car and it made it about 20miles and I think I used the brakes twice, and even then soon as I touched them the needed started going down.
