Default Question about refinishing wheels.

Say you buy some chrome aluminum wheels and way down the road the chrome starts peeling off/gets beat up. Can you have the chrome stripped off and just polish the aluminum after?

I'm sure you could..but it would be alot of work! Especially when you can pick up a 300-$500 set of ZR1's, Z06 or other replica wheel's that are ready to go. What are they?

Oh I'm just wondering, I just bought deep dish Z06's chrome and was just wondering if they could be polished.

Just keep them clean...and no winter driving(salt) and they will be fine.
