Racer's Lounge - 27 car wreck!!! Crazy winter weather!!!

Well yesterday my dad was on his way home in his work semi and ran into some white out conditions. Winds were blowing 40 mph and he could not see anything and to add to that he was driving on a sheet of ice. His co-worker that was in front of him lost control and so did my dad causing 25 cars to wreck into them and go in the ditch. My dads semi hand minimal damage, my dad's buddy was less fortunate he had to be transported to the hospital and the truck was a total loss. Here is a website for those intrested. What's the record? I remember hearing about a 98 car pile up a while back due to a thick fog. Not sure about that so someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

There was a huge pileup on I-94/196 in Benton Harbor, MI a few years back. It involved 78+ cars lol

That's why I like the south. :nod: We hardly get any of that white stuff and if it does happen to snow then everything shuts down.

I looked it up lol. There was a 98 car pile up on I-70 in MO. Still 27 is alot if you think about it. Glad your dad is ok. I bet the body shops in your area are going to be making some cash now.
