458 rwhp here with stock 98 short block, stock 98 heads, ls6 intake, headers, and TR blower cam. P1SC showing 5.25#. Do the same with a D1SC and do like 7-8# and you will be there.

Yes indeed, as has already been mentioned. We normally see an average increase of 140 rwhp with 8 psi of boost. Bob

i used stock heads on a turbo engine , same impeller designas the pro charger.....
the head deck thickness is LESS with stock heads,
to make it live , tune the engine to be a tad richer, to keep the cylinder pressure down a bit...and be less agressive on ignition tune.

on the dyno , when i leaned it out to 12.4-12.5 : 1 it actually cracked the cast heads, in the dish area,
the egt actually got to around 1250 F AFTER the turbo... ( totally my fault)

the engine went 1016 hp and 960 ft/lbs,
355 cubes , 166 cc intake runner , 1.94 intake valve, and 1.5 exhaust valve

just take it a bit easy, on the std oem stuff, and it will live....
