Default Electric Cut Outs

So I'm looking into a DMH Electric Cut Out and I'm curious to know if they are worth the $$$ spent? Any real power gains or just for sound? Appreciate any feedback!

DMH is the brand to go with. It all depends on how much mods you have and how restrictive your exhaust after the cutout is.
I have seen good results from people adding a cutout before the axle. Some have even seen 15rwhp with a big cam, but I wouldn't expect that much.

EDIT: The sound alone is worth it to me though.

The sound is nice that's for sure! DMH would def be the brand I would go with.

From reading threads on this forum it appears that DMH > QTP.

LOL...larger font size = debate won

I am sure QTP will suffice, but I have heard of their motors failing prematurely, more often than DMH.

SOMETIMES the reason for failures is the motor on the cutout does come loose from vibrations. QTP very good quality

I was just saying that I think that "sometimes" occurs more often with QTP than with DMH.

QTP sucks, first one broke after being on he car for 20 minutes, second one broke after being on the car for 3 months. QTP also only has a 4 month warranty which blows cuz now im **** out of luck. the motor is huge and hard to fit under the car. DMH is the way to go, ill never have anything nice to say for QTP, and DMH has a lifetime warranty and the motor is much tighter to the cutout making instalation easier.

I have heard it was the older QTP's that were messing up, mine works without a problem.

Why not just save around $150 and get a manual cutout? Same gains, if any. And it's not that hard to get on the ground and undo a few wing nuts. Plus, you never have to worry about a motor going out. lol
