Default motor transplant questions

can i switch the engine from a 2001 z06 and put it into my 2004 ctsv and put the cadillac engine in the corvette???
besides the bolt on parts on the front would there be any differences?
the z06 engine is built to the hilt and the v engine is bone stock, and i want to keep the v and sell the z06. any thoughts would be great.

That one's easy. Yes, they will swap no problem whatsoever.

Raven, your from Claremore? I'm a Pryor guy myself. Moved to Texas about a year ago.

Back to the thread, make sure you swap all the pullies, acc, etc. Also, put some good motor mounts in there while you're at it.

Yeah by some UUC mounts. The stock ones are trash.

@jerrad

Default Other Changes Required

Besides the oil pan/windage tray/pickup tube, you will also have to change the pilot bearing to the CTS-V (or 99-up truck) pilot bearing.

Also, if you use the Corvette clutch/flywheel assembly instead of the V's stock clutch/flywheel, a clutch slave spacer from TPIS or Katech will have to be used to retain the proper clutch pedal operation.
