are tires covered under warranty?
my monte ss has 19,500 miles and the treads are starting to look worn. i recently purchased the car so I don't if the tires were periodically rotated or not. how many miles are these tires supposed to last to warrant a warranty replacement? Thanks

tires are included in the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty only for pre mature wear and defects. not if you do burnouts, slash them or they pop.. The warrenty is covered by goodyear though, not GM. They just include it into there 3 yr deal. Reason i know that is b/c the dealer told me that a goodyear rep had to reimburse gm before they could order the tires. i just recently had all 4 of my tires replaced b/c of the inner tread gone with only 20,000 miles on the car.. read my other post for more details.. if the entire tires is wore, good luck getting new ones b/c they will prob say u were doing burnouts.

If the inner tread of your tires were worn, that was due to a mechanical issue (not a tire issue) and that's something GM would have to cover (unless you never bothered to have you car aligned), not Goodyear.
Factory tires are only covered for manufacturing defects. There is almost never a mileage warranty on tires fresh off the lot.
