the plenum looks crooked compared to the carb flange. the dividers are not even with the plenum. 2 are one size and one angle and 2 are another. if it was designed this way for even fuel distribution accross each cylinder, which way does the intake install. its not symetrical at all, and i believe an LS intake will bolt on in either direction. i dont have my motor together yet to check it.
if its not supposed to be crooked, is it a bad casting?
im no intake engineer.
its hard to tell by the pics.

the dividers are offset compared to the center of the plenum.
wheather this is done for performance, or just a cheap casting, i have no clue.
you will never get edelbrock on the phone to find out. ive sat on hold forever with them, then there is a message they are too busy, to call back later.
wtf? why put you on hold for 30 minutes?
anyway... this may be normal. i have no clue.

yeah i hate when customer support is ****... hopefully someone that runs one will be able to give input... i'd say if there is a plan to there madness it'd be something of distribution seing as it is offset in the front and rear too the first two runners are offset from the last two

The inner two are protruding that way to make the inner runners the same leanth as the outer runners. You dont need much plenum area for a shortrunner intake. It also lessens the chances of contamination from oppossing cylinders. To increase the area if needed a spacer can be added. And the carb mount is lower at the front so a carberator can sit level.
