Remove the bulbs and metal clips from your headlight.
Put the headlight in the oven for five minutes at 200 degrees
Remove headlight from oven.
Remove headlight cover with a knife.
Sand down the part you're going to paint.
Tape off the part you don't want painted.
Spray your headlight (2-3 coats)
Put the plastic cover back on the headlight and seal it with some silicone. Don't forget the metal clips.
You're done son!

do it i just did mine and they came out ok. But i rushed them. Just make sure you take time to let the paint dry fully and wipe off the inside of the lense before you reinstall them. also i would paint the back out side of the headlights black, it looks better then silver.

Can help too but I'm in SD.
If you have that headlight lense hazing common on our headlights, this would be a great time to also address that too since you'll have everything dissasembled anyway.

the plastic nipples on the outside are from the molding process. nothing to do with cooling. the ones on the inside, with the little rubber thingy (i think this is what you are thinking about) are for cooling
