Default Window Motor (gear slipping?)

Not sure what's going on with this, but the driver's side window motor doesn't stop when it reaches the top and just keeps slipping.

Interestingly, this only happens when the door is closed. When it's open, the window seems to catch on the triangular rubber near the mirror and stops perfectly fine. I think the weather stripping slightly changes the angle of the window and causes it to slip.

Any ideas?

Your motor is probably not attached firmly to the regulator. (Inside the door.) If that's the case, you either have a busted rivet or just need to tighten up loose bolts from a motor replacement job.
